The community is extremely friendly to new business. Our public partners at the Charter Township of Comstock, Kalamazoo County and the Michigan Economic Development Corporation all have a vested interest in seeing Midlink and other area enterprises prosper. There is a cohesive team working together to attract and incentivize new business and industry.

Here, we mean business.
The Kalamazoo area is a progressive and affordable mid-size city with a workforce that offers a diverse range of skills. According to a recent study of the Kalamazoo Metro area, the cost of living is 30% lower than nearby Chicago and Detroit and the area offers a number of significant business incentives for companies choosing to locate here.

It turns out you can't always count on taxes. 110 acres within Midlink is part of a tax-free Renaissance Zone, allowing businesses to abate virtually all personal, real and small business tax through 2017. There is no complicated application process for this status and no forms to complete — anyone locating within the designated area qualifies. It's completely straightforward and simple.

Community support includes zoning flexibility.
Our MPUD (Mixed Use Planned Unit Development) status enables us to pursue development that matches the needs of our tenants. That means we don't just promise flexibility – we deliver it.
